WeVPN believes that as a VPN company holds a privilaged position with a customers data traffic, all VPN companies should be open and transparent. VPNs companies often hide who owns and runs the day to day operations and by hiding this information, prevents any accountability.
In order to promote openness and transparency within the VPN industry, WeVPN is demonstrating it's commitment to it's values by publishing the owners and C-Level management names and history.
Jon has nearly a decade of working in the VPN industry originally in Marketing and later in leadership and senior management. With his years of insight and customer knowledge gained from running one of the world’s biggest VPN providers, Jon decided to build his own VPN to ensure that the moral and ethics which he holds true are upheld and to provide an industry leader in transparency and accountability. Outside of WeVPN, He enjoys spending time at the gym and watching movies.
Jon is responsible for providing leadership and direction of WeVPN whilst ensuring the values and manifesto of WeVPN are adhered to.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO): Yoan
Yoan is an entrepreneur and marketer with a proven track record for bringing businesses from concept to revenue at scale. Yoan has spent years advertising for clients from the legal, finance and technology industries using various marketing channels and has a deep understanding of how to balance privacy and protection with advertising needs. As a co-founder of WeVPN, Yoan works well with technical teams to implement and optimize marketing strategies and secure successful outcomes.
Yoan is responsible for implementing the plans and policies of WeVPN. He is also responsible for final approval for any partnerships and sponsorships.
Chief Technology Officer (CTO): Matthew
Matthew has nearly eight years of experience leading top VPN companies - among them: SurfEasy, Opera VPN, and Symantec NortonLifeLock. He is originally a software engineer who transitioned into Product Security. Matthew has a proven track record acting on the board of a number of startups. He has stand out knowledge in architecting infrastructure using secure by design principles. Matthew takes few things seriously: privacy, security, coffee, and the gym.
Matthew is responsible for leading all engineering and security teams at WeVPN whilst working with the founder in ensuring the values and manifesto of WeVPN are continually adhered to.
Chief Experience Officer (CXO): Jayson
Jayson has a long history as an engineer with senior experience working in the British Army, ISPs and VPN industry, he has worked on both sides of the proverbial fence. Jayson previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Customer Experience for a major VPN provider and has built customer support teams and policies ensuring his commitment to transparency and accountability. A staunch advocate of open source technology, Jayson is not adverse to hard work in order to achieve a goal. He enjoys drinking mead and good conversations about sustainability and beekeeping.
