When using an anonymity or privacy service, it is extremely important that all traffic originating from your computer is routed through the anonymity network. There are many existing DNS options available, and many VPN companies use DNS service providers like Google DNS (188.8.131.52), CloudFlare (184.108.40.206), or OpenDNS (220.127.116.11). This defeats all privacy efforts because these companies may be logging your DNS queries. In addition, these DNS providers do not encrypt your DNS queries.
At WeVPN, we take your privacy seriously. We have setup our own DNS servers (10.255.0.1 when connected to our VPN network) and all of your DNS queries go through our encrypted DNS servers. This is known as DNS over TLS.
